Jacksonville Beach Golf Course. Built in 1959, Jacksonville Beach Golf Course is a municipal 18-hole golf course located just east of Intracoastal Waterway in Jacksonville Beach Florida. One of the most popular golf courses in the area, this fun and challenging 18 hole, par 72, 6510-yard public golf course is wide open and flat and features bunkers on every hole, as well several bodies of water. Over the last several years the City of Jacksonville Beach has rebuilt and renovated most of the greens, along with new bunkers and bulkheads to enhance the already beautiful design. The club features a new modern clubhouse, a full-service pro shop, a golf teaching academy, a lighted driving range, tournaments, and clinics. Tournament Players Club Sawgrass. Play where the PGA tour plays! TPC at Sawgrass features two breathtaking 18-hole championship golf courses - the Stadium Course and the Valley Course - in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, and is home to the PGA Tour's headquarters. A golfing masterpiece, the Stadium Course – recently reopened after millions in improvements - is host to THE PLAYERS Championship, the PGA Tour's flagship event, and is regarded as one of the toughest courses in the world. Opened in 1980 and designed by noted golf-course architect Pete Dye, the Stadium Course was revolutionary for its radical "stadium" concept and brutal design. It is best known for its signature hole, the par-3, 132-yard 17th, known as the "Island Green", one of golf's most scenic and difficult holes.
